Job summary

The Morse Institute Library in Natick is accepting applications for a part-time Library Assistant. This role assists patrons with library services in person and by phone, emphasizing strong customer service and teamwork.

The schedule is 18 hours per week with hours on Mondays and Thursdays 3–9pm, Fridays 9am–1pm, and alternating Saturdays 1–5pm. Starting pay is $23.87/hour with step increases to $29.53/hour.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service background and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail oriented with the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Bilingual abilities and knowledge of Sierra ILS are preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patrons with library services in person and over the phone.
• Support a welcoming environment and responsive service as part of a library team.
• Contribute to smooth daily operations and accuracy in routine library tasks.
