Job summary

Morse Institute Library in Natick is seeking a part-time Library Assistant to help patrons access library services in person and by phone. The role supports a friendly, community-focused environment and offers a non-benefited, 18-hours-per-week schedule with evening and weekend hours.

The starting pay is $23.87 per hour (Step 1) with a full range of $23.87–$29.53 per hour in accordance with the union contract. Accrued sick, personal, and vacation time are prorated under the contract.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service background with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail oriented and able to work well in a team environment.
• Bilingual abilities and knowledge of Sierra ILS software preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Help patrons access library services in person and over the phone.
• Support daily library operations during scheduled shifts.
• Contribute to a welcoming and supportive environment for Natick's community.
