Job summary

Jefferson County Public Library is seeking a part-time Patron Experience Associate at the Evergreen Library to provide frontline customer service to a diverse community. You will help patrons discover books and digital resources, assist with program information, and work with teammates to create a welcoming, inclusive environment.

The 20-hour-per-week position is benefits-eligible. Schedule includes some evenings and Saturdays; starting pay range is $23.39–$29.24 per hour, with standard library

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in library or customer service.
• Public Library customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides information, referrals and reader’s advisory assistance to patrons in person, by phone, mail and via electronic means.
• Locates materials using databases and other sources.
• Advises patrons about online searching and using library resources.
• Creates a welcoming atmosphere and addresses patron needs.
• Promotes programs and assists with instruction or programming as needed.
• Conducts tours and community outreach as required.
