Jefferson County Public Library in Belmar seeks a Patron Experience Associate to deliver frontline customer service and help patrons discover books, digital resources, and job resources. You will work with teammates to create an inclusive, welcoming environment for all visitors.

The role is full-time (40 hours/week) with benefits; the Division of Libraries & Inclusion supports equity and access to information for Jefferson County residents and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1 year of relevant experience is required.
• Public library customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide information, referrals and reader’s advisory assistance to patrons in person, by phone, mail and electronic means.
• Locate materials using databases and other sources.
• Promote and present programs and services in or off site.
• Assist with collection development and reader’s advisory materials.
• Deliver high-quality customer service and foster an inviting atmosphere.
