Job summary

Curtis Institute of Music is seeking an Event Specialist to support on-site operations for patron services during performances. The role focuses on ticket scanning, guest support, and logistics, reporting to the Associate Director of Patron Experience. This is a part-time, non-exempt, seasonal position from October 2026 through May 2027 with a potential extension.

Qualifications

• Schedule flexibility to work nights and weekends for performances is required.
• Experience with entertainment, attractions, or performing arts preferred.
• Passion for classical music is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional patron service and retention abilities.

Responsibilities

• Box office ticketing, scanning, reconciling, and reporting.
• Greet guests and elevate the patron experience via in-person interactions.
• Set-up of ticketing table, signage, and materials.
• Maintain patron communications via ticketing line and email for performances.
• Monitor livestreams on YouTube and Facebook during recitals.
• Coordinate with Production Team, Security, and attendees.
• Other duties as assigned.
