Job summary

Drexel University is seeking an Audience Services Coordinator for the Mandell Theater and URBN Annex Black Box Theater. This role supports ticketing, front‑of‑house services, and exemplary patron communication to prepare audiences for performances.

This is a 6‑month, part‑time position with training in Adult & Pediatric First Aid & CPR/AED. Duties include managing the box office, coordinating ushers, generating reports, and ensuring safety protocols during events.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED and 1 year of related experience.
• Strong customer service, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work set weekday business hours with some evenings and weekends for events.

Responsibilities

• Oversee ticket sales to enact consistent processes across all performances.
• Serve as ticketing database administrator (AudienceView), monitor sales and reports.
• Operate phones during Box Office hours (≈4 hours per week).
• Respond to ticketing inquiries by email and phone.
• Draft event briefings for front of house.
• Maintain awareness of health and safety protocols and assist with emergency response.
• Generate reports and analyze patron data to inform audience strategies.
• Operate box office prior to performances for theater and dance ensembles.
• Serve as back-up for house management and shift coverage.
• Create and maintain an organized box office.
• Assist scheduling shifts for House Managers.
• Coordinate student volunteer ushers for concerts and ensembles.
• Prepare ushers for front-of-house assignments.
• Administer lost and found.]
