Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED equivalency; associate degree in Criminal Justice preferred.
• Some experience in law enforcement work.
• Ability to develop positive public image; tact, firmness, sound judgment.
• Ability to express thoughts clearly in reports.
• Knowledge of laws and local ordinances.

Responsabilités

• Patrols community areas with high and low crime incidents; engages with residents.
• Investigates traffic accidents; gathers eyewitness accounts and enforcement.
• Conducts pre-tour of duty inspections of police vehicle and equipment.
• Serves papers, warrants, and subpoenas; locates suspects.
• Enforces speed limits and monitors traffic violations.
• Conducts criminal investigations and interviews witnesses.
