Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK is hiring multiple Patient Transporters in the Patient Transport Department. Openings include Full Time 40 hours/week (Mid Shift), Part Time 24 hours/week, and Per Diem as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assist clinical staff and patients with mobility and transfers.
  • Transport patients and equipment to treatment areas.
  • Maintain equipment and supplies for transport.
  • Operate within the Epic Transport Command Center dispatch system.
  • Follow safe patient handling standards to minimize manual lifting.

We are hiring for multiple openings of Patient Transporter positions in the Patient Transport Department at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska!

Currently available schedules:
  • Full Time, 1.0 FTE, Mid Shift, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri. (11AM to 9:30PM) , 40 hours per week.
  • Part Time - 0.6 FTE, Variable Shift (3PM to 11:30PM), 24 hours per week.
  • Per Diem, 0.1 FTE, Variable shift, hours as needed.

The TLC Tech is responsible for assisting clinical staff and members of the interprofessional healthcare team, as assigned, under the direct supervision of clinical staff within inpatient setting. This position performs delegated activities that include but are not limited to patient mobility and other patient maneuvers assisting patients in functional activities, transporting patients/equipment to and from treatment areas, maintaining equipment and supplying procurement, and a variety of basic clerical functions. Primary focus is to respond to and complete requests as outlined by the department scope of service utilizing the Epic Transport Command Center automated dispatching system. Practicing safe patient handling and mobility standards emphasizing minimum manual lifting, Transport & Logistic Center Technicians work in conjunction and under the guidance of nursing and other medical personnel to ensure transfers, lifts and other patient maneuvers are safe for staff and patients. These activities focus on maintaining a safe, hazard free, clean environment that facilitates quality patient focused care. This position may cross train with other roles to support department specific needs.

Required Qualifications:

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
