Job summary

Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support bedside care under the supervision of the RN and charge nurse. You will help maintain a safe, clean environment and ensure clear communication between patients, families, and healthcare teams.

This is a full-time position with 3 twelve-hour shifts per week, offering shift differentials and a $2,500 hiring bonus for eligible external hires; comprehensive benefits are included in our care-focused culture.

Description

Under direct supervision this position is accountable to the bedside RN and charge nurse to facilitate a safe and secure environment for the patient, family and providers in the department in completion of the duties delegated to them for the shift and maintaining clear communication between the needs of the patient through the RN and Charge Nurse. These activities focus on maintaining a safe, hazard free, clean environment which facilitates patient focused care.

Up to $2,500 hiring bonus for eligible full-time external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.

Hours: Full Time (3) 12-Hour Shifts per week

Shifts: Night & Day Shift based on current needs.

Premium Pay Differentials

• Nights: $4.00/hr
• Weekends $2.20/hr

Hiring in: Resource Pool / Progressive Care Unit / 3W Ortho / 4N MedSurg / 5N Oncology / 5W Neurology

Required qualifications

• Coursework/Training and Medical Terminology course Or Successful completion of hospital Medical terminology test within 90 days of hire.
• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred qualifications

• Completed training as a Certified Nursing Assistant
• 6 months of Health care experience.
