We are hiring for multiple Patient Transporter positions in the Patient Transport Department at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska.
The TLC Tech is responsible for assisting clinical staff and members of the interprofessional healthcare team, under the direct supervision of clinical staff within inpatient settings. The position performs delegated activities that include patient mobility and other patient maneuvers, assisting patients in functional activities, transporting patients and equipment to and from treatment areas, maintaining equipment and paperwork, and basic clerical functions. Primary focus is to respond to and complete requests as outlined by the department scope of service using the Epic Transport Command Center automated dispatching system. The technician practices safe patient handling and mobility standards emphasizing minimum manual lifting, and works in conjunction with nursing and other medical personnel to ensure safe transfers, lifts and other maneuvers.
