Job summary

Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage is seeking a Nursing Assistant for part-time day and night shifts (12 hours weekly). Under direct supervision, you will assist with bedside care and support the RN and charge nurse to maintain a safe, clean environment focused on patient-centric care.

Hours: Part Time (12 Hours Weekly) Day and Night Shift

Under direct supervision this position is accountable to the bedside RN and charge nurse to facilitate a safe and secure environment for the patient, family and providers in the department in completion of the duties delegated to them for the shift and maintaining clear communication between the needs of the patient through the RN and Charge Nurse. These activities focus on maintaining a safe, hazard free, clean environment which facilitates patient focused care.

Required Qualifications:
  • Coursework/Training Medical Terminology course Or Successful completion of hospital Medical terminology test within 90 days of hire.
  • Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Completed training as a Certified Nursing Assistant
  • 6 months Health care experience.
