Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Patient Transporter to move patients and equipment safely within the Medical Center. You will operate Epic to track patient location and equipment, ensuring safe body mechanics and adherence to PAR levels across locations.

Qualifications

• Two years of customer service experience.
• Must be able to push, pull, and lift 50 lbs regularly.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout shift.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR/AED certification preferred or required.

Transports patients and equipment to and from various departments within the Medical Center. Performs various patient related activities, as assigned. Patients are transported in a safe manner and proper body mechanics are utilized at all times. Maintains PAR levels for equipment in various locations throughout the Medical Center. Continuously shows the ability to work well with other co-workers (both within the Patient Transportation Department and other departments). Uses Epic software to track each patient's location as they travel to and from designated areas throughout the facility. Uses Epic software to to track equipment movement throughout the facility.
