Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis Critical Care Medicine Fellowship is seeking a compassionate Transport Technician to move patients and equipment between departments within the Medical Center.

You will operate safely, maintain PAR levels for equipment, and use Epic to track patient locations and equipment movement. Preferred candidates will have a High School diploma, 2 years of customer service experience, and a current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.

Qualifications

• Certifications: BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) program.
• Preferred Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred Experience: Two years customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients and equipment between departments within the Medical Center.
• Uses Epic software to track each patient's location and equipment movement.
• Maintains PAR levels for equipment in various locations.
• Works well with coworkers across departments.
• Ensures patient safety and proper body mechanics during transport.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
