Job summary

Mercy is seeking a patient transport team member to move patients and equipment across the Medical Center. The role emphasizes safety, proper body mechanics, and coordination with departments to ensure smooth patient flow.

Qualified candidates have high school diploma or equivalent, are CPR/AED certified (BLS), and bring at least two years of customer service experience. The position requires physical effort and a collaborative approach with staff.

Qualifications

• BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) required or preferred.
• Two years of customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients and equipment to and from various departments within the Medical Center.
• Maintain PAR levels for equipment in locations throughout the Medical Center.
• Use Epic software to track each patient's location and equipment movement within the facility.
• Collaborate with coworkers across departments to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Transports patients and equipment to and from various departments within the Medical Center. Performs various patient related activities, as assigned. Patients are transported in a safe manner and proper body mechanics are utilized at all times. Maintains PAR levels for equipment in various locations throughout the Medical Center. Continuously shows the ability to work well with other co-workers (both within the Patient Transportation Department and other departments). Uses Epic software to track each patient's location as they travel to and from designated areas throughout the facility. Uses Epic software to to track equipment movement throughout the facility.
