Job summary

Mercy St. Louis is seeking a dedicated transporter to move patients and equipment throughout the Medical Center. The role emphasizes safe patient handling, collaboration with multiple departments, and accurate use of Epic to monitor locations and equipment flow.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least two years of customer service experience. BLS CPR/AED certification is required.

Transports patients and equipment to and from various departments within the Medical Center. Performs various patient related activities, as assigned. Patients are transported in a safe manner and proper body mechanics are utilized at all times. Maintains PAR levels for equipment in various locations throughout the Medical Center. Continuously shows the ability to work well with other co-workers (both within the Patient Transportation Department and other departments). Uses Epic software to track each patient's location as they travel to and from designated areas throughout the facility. Uses Epic software to to track equipment movement throughout the facility.
