Mercy seeks a compassionate Transportation Associate to move patients and equipment across the Medical Center, ensuring safety and proper body mechanics. You will coordinate with departments and use Epic software to monitor patient flow and equipment movement.
The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least two years of customer service experience; BLS CPR/AED certification is preferred. Mercy offers strong benefits and growth opportunities within a supportive team.
Transports patients and equipment to and from various departments within the Medical Center. Performs various patient related activities, as assigned. Patients are transported in a safe manner and proper body mechanics are utilized at all times. Maintains PAR levels for equipment in various locations throughout the Medical Center. Continuously shows the ability to work well with other co-workers (both within the Patient Transportation Department and other departments). Uses Epic software to track each patient's location as they travel to and from designated areas throughout the facility. Uses Epic software to to track equipment movement throughout the facility.
Preferred Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Experience: Two years customer service experience.
Certifications: BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) program
