Mercy is seeking a Patient Transporter to move patients and equipment within the Medical Center, ensuring safe body mechanics and accurate tracking of patient locations as they travel to designated areas.
The role emphasizes teamwork with various departments and adherence to safety standards. Preferred candidates have high school education and at least two years of customer service experience; BLS CPR/AED certification is required.
Transports patients and equipment to and from various departments within the Medical Center. Performs various patient related activities, as assigned. Patients are transported in a safe manner and proper body mechanics are utilized at all times. Maintains PAR levels for equipment in various locations throughout the Medical Center. Continuously shows the ability to work well with other co-workers (both within the Patient Transportation Department and other departments). Uses Epic software to track each patient's location as they travel to and from designated areas throughout the facility. Uses Epic software to to track equipment movement throughout the facility.
