Job summary

Mercy Co in Kentucky is seeking a Patient Transporter to move patients and equipment between departments, ensuring safety and proper body mechanics during all transfers.

You will use Epic software to track patient locations and equipment, support a collaborative team, and maintain required certifications. Two years of customer service and a high school diploma (or equivalent) are preferred; BLS CPR/AED is required. This role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods.

Qualifications

• Two years of customer service experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) certification required.
• Ability to work in a hospital setting with patient care activities.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients and equipment between hospital departments.
• Assist with patient-related activities and ensure safety and proper body mechanics.
• Maintain PAR levels for equipment across locations.
• Use Epic software to track patient location and equipment movement.

Transports patients and equipment to and from various departments within the Medical Center. Performs various patient related activities, as assigned. Patients are transported in a safe manner and proper body mechanics are utilized at all times. Maintains PAR levels for equipment in various locations throughout the Medical Center. Continuously shows the ability to work well with other co-workers (both within the Patient Transportation Department and other departments). Uses Epic software to track each patient's location as they travel to and from designated areas throughout the facility. Uses Epic software to track equipment movement throughout the facility.
