Job summary

Mercy Hospital is seeking staff to transport patients and equipment across the Medical Center. The role involves patient-related tasks, maintaining safety through proper body mechanics, and ensuring equipment is tracked throughout the facility.

Candidates should have two years of customer service experience and a BLS certification. A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred, with a focus on safety and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Two years customer service experience.
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) certification required.
  • Preferred High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Transport patients and equipment within Mercy Medical Center.
  • Assist with patient-related activities and ensure safety with proper body mechanics.
  • Use Epic software to track patient locations and equipment movement.

Patients are transported in a safe manner and proper body mechanics are utilized at all times. Maintains PAR levels for equipment in various locations throughout the Medical Center. Continuously shows the ability to work well with other co-workers (both within the Patient Transportation Department and other departments). Uses Epic software to track each patient's location as they travel to and from designated areas throughout the facility. Uses Epic software to to track equipment movement throughout the facility.
