Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Patient Transporter to move patients and equipment across Mercy Medical Center. You will use Epic to follow patient locations and equipment movements, ensuring safety and efficiency in routing and patient care.

Ideal candidates have two years of customer service experience and a High School Diploma or equivalent, with BLS CPR/AED certification preferred. This is a full-time role offering good benefits and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients and equipment between hospital departments.
• Use Epic to track patient locations and equipment movement.
• Maintain PAR levels for equipment across locations.
• Collaborate with Mercy staff and other departments to support patient flow.
• Follow safety protocols and proper body mechanics during transports.

Transports patients and equipment to and from various departments within the Medical Center. Performs various patient related activities, as assigned. Patients are transported in a safe manner and proper body mechanics are utilized at all times. Maintains PAR levels for equipment in various locations throughout the Medical Center. Continuously shows the ability to work well with other co-workers (both within the Patient Transportation Department and other departments). Uses Epic software to track each patient's location as they travel to and from designated areas throughout the facility. Uses Epic software to to track equipment movement throughout the facility.
