Job Summary

Patient Transporter

Facilitating internal hospital patient moves.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Transport patients safely and securely, including securing IVs and drainage tubes.
• Use wheelchairs and other approved equipment for patient transport.
• Demonstrate competency in transporting all age groups.
• Ensure timely and accurate transport of patients using proper equipment.
• Communicate effectively with hospital staff.
• Ensure patient comfort and privacy, avoiding transport in severe pain.
• Report any patient distress or equipment issues immediately.
• Maintain and report on equipment condition.
• Follow all regulatory standards and hospital policies, including HIPAA.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
