PATIENT TRANSPORTER (FULL TIME AND PART TIME)

Job Details

• Location: Henry Ford Providence Hospital - 16001 West 9 Mile Road, Southfield, MI 48075
• Schedule: Varies, including days, weekends, and holidays; specific hours discussed during interview
• Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour
• Requirements: No prior experience necessary

About the Role

Responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate transport of patients, medical equipment, and related items within the hospital. Ensures patient comfort and safety during transport, communicates effectively with medical staff, and maintains equipment.

Essential Duties

• Transport patients securely, including securing IVs and drainage tubes
• Use wheelchairs and other approved equipment for patient movement
• Demonstrate competency across all age groups
• Maintain communication with healthcare staff
• Ensure patient comfort and privacy
• Report any patient distress or equipment issues
• Follow regulatory and confidentiality standards
