Patient Transporter

Summary: Responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate transport of patients, medical equipment, and related items within the hospital.

Essential Duties:

• Transport patients safely, securing IVs, drainage tubes, etc.
• Use wheelchairs and other approved equipment for patient transport.
• Demonstrate competency across all age groups.
• Communicate effectively with hospital staff.
• Ensure patient comfort and privacy, never transport in severe pain.
• Report any patient distress or equipment issues immediately.
• Maintain and report on equipment condition.
• Comply with all regulatory standards and confidentiality policies.
