Job summary

PCH Princeton Community Hospital is seeking a Transport Aide to move patients to and from the Diagnostic Services Department. You will help ensure safe transport, operate RIS for patient check-in/out, and manage equipment including stretchers, wheelchairs, and oxygen tanks.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR within 90 days of hire, and preferably completion of a patient care aide training program or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required or demonstrated.
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire is required.
• Preferred: completion of a patient care aide training program or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate records of patient transport to and from the Diagnostic Services Department.
• Utilizes RIS to check-in and check-out patients.
• Demonstrates basic knowledge of IVAC pumps, drainage devices, catheters, restraints and oxygen tanks.
• Demonstrates proficiency with stretchers/carts, wheelchairs, oxygen tanks, transfer devices and PPE.
• Communicates and provides a safe environment for patients across age groups.

Job description

Transports patients from various hospital departments to and from the Diagnostic Services Department.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS** :**

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. High School graduate or equivalent

2. CPR certification within 90 days of hire.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS** :**

1. Successful completion of a patient care aide- training program or equivalent.

4. Demonstrates proficiency with regards to stretchers/carts, wheelchairs, O2 tanks, transfer devices and personal protective equipment.

5. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to communicate and provide a safe environment for infants, pediatric, Adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
