UNC Health Care in North Carolina is seeking a per diem Patient Transporter to move patients between nursing units and to and from diagnostic areas. The role also supports a clean, stocked work area and reports equipment issues to supervision.
Hours are 8-hour shifts, with a 4.00 standard weekly commitment. The position requires basic reading/writing ability and a BLS certification within 30 days of hire; no prior experience is required.

Summary:
Provides safe transportation for patients between nursing units and to and from diagnostic and treatment areas. Additional responsibilities include other indirect patient care activities such as maintaining a clean, well-stocked work environment in the assigned area. Work is performed under the close supervision of a hospital supply technician or a member of the nursing staff.
