AtlantiCare is seeking a Patient Transporter to promptly and safely move patients to and from procedures, tests, and between units, following established policies and schedules. You will identify destinations, assist patients (ambulatory or non-ambulatory), and transport with beds, stretchers, or wheelchairs while maintaining safety.
The role supports patient throughput and operational efficiency, emphasizes teamwork, and requires professional communication with staff across departments.

This Position Supports Organizational Goals By Providing Quality Customer Service, Enhancing Patient Throughput And Operational Efficiency, Participating In Performance Improvement Efforts And Demonstrating a Commitment To Teamwork And Cooperation.
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent required.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: American Heart Association BLS required within 6 months of hire or transfer.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum six months' experience preferred, within hospital patient care services. Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at time of hire; incumbents within position will be trained appropriately and then skill will be required for this position within 30-60 days from date of hire.
Potential for exposure to the hazards and risk of the hospital environment, including exposure to infectious disease, blood-borne pathogens, hazardous substances, and potential injury.
Reaching, stooping, kneeling and crouching approximately 25% of a workday; visual and physical ability required to work at a computer terminal; standing and walking
approximately 75% of a workday; lifting approximately 50 to 100 pounds frequently with assistance occasionally; physical abilities required to push, pull or transport equipment and patients
This position reports to the Environmental Services Leadership.
