Responsibilities

• Position, transfer and transport patients by wheelchair, bed or gurney across departments.
• Perform equipment maintenance and cleaning or disinfection as required.
• Deliver and pick up specimens, blood, medical equipment, medical records, medications and other items.
• Transport deceased patients to the morgue.
• May perform teaching/training functions, dispatching, and limited clerical duties for the transport function.
