Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking a Patient Transporter to support the Surgery team at St. Marys Medical Center in Duluth, MN. The role emphasizes safe patient movement, effective communication with staff, and assisting with transport of patients, supplies, and equipment across the facility.

Shift rotations include Day/Eve, with varying start and end times. BCLS certification is required or obtainable within 1 month of hire. This is a full-time, on-site position with competitive benefits.

Education Qualifications:

You will be Responsible for:

• The safe performance of mechanically appropriate patient lifts.
• Communicating to staff any special needs encountered before, during, or after the lifting of a particular patient, especially those regarding potential safety issues.
• Assisting with transporting patients of all ages, supplies, and equipment.
• Performing related duties as required.

Licensure/CertificationQualifications:

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or ability to become certified within 1 month from date of hire.
