Essentia Health is seeking a Patient Transporter to support the Surgery team at St. Marys Medical Center in Duluth, MN. The role emphasizes safe patient movement, effective communication with staff, and assisting with transport of patients, supplies, and equipment across the facility.

Shift rotations include Day/Eve, with varying start and end times. BCLS certification is required or obtainable within 1 month of hire. This is a full-time, on-site position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• The safe performance of mechanically appropriate patient lifts.
• Communicating to staff any special needs encountered before, during, or after the lifting of a particular patient.
• Assisting with transporting patients of all ages, supplies, and equipment.
• Performing related duties as required.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients, supplies, and equipment safely within the facility.
• Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure patient safety during movement.
• Assist with patient transfers and respond to lifting-related safety issues.
