Job summary

Endeavor Health seeks a Patient Transport professional at Elmhurst Hospital to move patients safely using wheelchairs and stretchers, and to deliver equipment across floors. Qualifications

• Education: High-school diploma required.
• Certification: American Heart Association BLS for healthcare provider.
• Experience: Minimum six months customer service or patient transporter experience.
• Physical demands include lifting over 50 lbs, carrying 80 lbs, pushing/pulling heavy loads, and working in variable conditions.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients via wheelchair, stretcher, bed or alternative means under supervision and following procedures.
• Disconnecting and reconnecting patient IV pumps from IV poles and oxygen equipment.
• Deliver patient equipment to nursing floors as needed.
