Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Patient Transport professional for Elmhurst Hospital to safely move patients and equipment during the 9:00 PM–5:30 AM shift, with every-other weekend and rotating holidays.

Requirements include a high-school diploma, American Heart Association BLS for healthcare provider, and at least six months of patient transport or customer service experience. Position involves lifting heavy loads and exposure to drafts, noise, and temperature variations.

Qualifications

• High-school diploma required.
• American Heart Association BLS for healthcare provider.
• Minimum six months customer service or patient transporter experience.
• Must be able to lift over 50 lbs and push/pull over 200 lbs; work in a riskful environment.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients via wheelchair, stretcher, bed or other means under supervision.
• Deliver patient equipment to nursing floors as needed.
• Assist with IV pumps disconnection/re-connection as required.
