Job summary

Banner Health in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Patient Transporter to support patient movement and item distribution across the campus. You will assist nurses with moving patients and transporting specimens, with a focus on safety and customer service.

This full-time daytime role offers three 12-hour shifts per week (7am–7:30pm) and includes weekend/holiday rotation, with shift differentials where applicable. A strong team culture and patient-centered care are emphasized.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• Ability to interact with patients and staff.
• Basic computer and organizational skills.
• May require a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients safely between departments using proper techniques and infection control.
• Assist with patient handling using safety equipment and procedures.
• Distribute items and supplies between departments per established procedures.
• Respond to calls promptly and update requests in our computer system.
• Collect, clean and disinfect reusable patient care equipment.
• May perform supply restocking or basic clerical duties in the area.
• May operate a golf cart to provide distribution services.
• May transport deceased persons to the facility morgue.
