Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Transporter to safely move patients within the department and assist with operational flow. You will report safety concerns, build respectful rapport with patients, and collaborate closely with physicians and health care staff to support patient care.

Responsibilities include adhering to protocols for transporting patients, notifying staff of delays, and maintaining clean, organized transport equipment and areas.

Qualifications

• Some High School required.
• 0-1 years related work experience required.
• Basic familiarity with computers. Ability to navigate at a basic level within web-based applications.

Responsabilités

• Report patient care or safety concerns to appropriate staff.
• Initiate a friendly but respectful relationship with patients and respond to their needs according to policies.
• Collaborate and communicate with physicians and other health care professionals.
• Safely transport patients to and from the department according to protocols; notify delays; may transport deceased patients to the morgue.
• Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of working area, stretchers, wheelchairs, IV poles and other items used in patient transportation.
