Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health – New England Baptist Hospital is hiring a Patient Transport teammate for a 20-hour per week, part-time schedule in Boston. You will transport patients, visitors, and equipment, follow transport logs, and assist clinical staff with moving patients from beds or chairs and with routine trips across the campus.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Heart Saver certification required within 60 days of hire date from American Heart Association or Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients, visitors, belongings, and equipment throughout the hospital.
• Refer to log and determine method of transportation needed and follow through.
• Deliver or pick up patients in a prompt courteous manner upon telephone request.
• Assist clinical personnel in transferring patients to or from beds or chairs or stretchers.
• Responsible for hourly medical trips and for mail delivery throughout the hospital.
• Stock and clean precaution carts on nursing units and assist with related tasks.
