Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Round the hospital to assess transport inventory and move equipment to optimize operations and maximize patient throughput.
• Greet and inform patients about move process and ensure safety and quality checks.
• Move furniture to accommodate stretcher or wheelchair.
• Involve clinical staff in transferring patients from bed to stretcher or wheelchair.
• Transport patients and their medical charts to departments, with empathy and safety.
• Coordinate handoffs and explain next steps to patients, staying with them if needed.
• Assist with discharge transports and offer a friendly farewell.
• Prioritize transport requests to reduce wait times and improve patient satisfaction.
• Respond to equipment issues to ensure availability and maximize useful life.
