Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Maintains a CA driver’s license and current medical examination.
• Must be 21 years or older with a good driving record.
• Handle with Care and Verbal De-escalation training within 90 days of employment.
• CPR training provided in-house.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation for patients to and from the facility in a safe manner.
• Obey all traffic laws while driving company vehicles.
• Report van maintenance problems to the Transportation Supervisor and Outpatient Manager.
• Maintain the van log with updated addresses and phone numbers.
• Communicate with the Outpatient Manager and staff about patient care issues.
• Assist in providing meals to patients as assigned.
• Maintain a clean environment for patients at all times.
• Demonstrate sound judgment regarding patient safety and boundaries.
• Address patients, visitors, and co-workers in a respectful manner.
• Follow facility policies and participate in mandatory trainings.
• Support quality improvement goals and safeguard patient confidentiality.
