Job summary

Talentify is seeking a patient transport professional responsible for safely transporting patients to and from the facility, providing continuous observation and interaction while maintaining safety.

The role requires a valid CA driver’s license, current medical examination, and completion of Handle with Care, verbal de-escalation training within 90 days of hire, and CPR (training provided in-house). A 21+ age minimum and clean driving record are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid CA driver’s license and current medical examination.
• Must be 21 years or older with a good driving record.
• Handle with Care and Verbal De-escalation training within 90 days of employment; CPR training provided in-house.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation for patients to and from the facility in a safe manner.
• Obey all traffic laws while driving company vehicles.
• Report van maintenance problems to the Transportation Supervisor and Outpatient Manager.
• Maintain the van log with updated addresses and phone numbers.
• Communicate with the Outpatient Manager and staff regarding patient care information.
• Provide meals to patients as assigned from the cafeteria.
• Keep a clean environment for patients at all times.
• Demonstrate responsibility and judgment for patient safety.
• Maintain therapeutic boundaries at all times.
• Interact with patients, visitors, and coworkers in a respectful manner.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures.
• Attend mandatory facility in-services and staff development.
• Adhere to conduct, dress, attendance and punctuality standards.
• Support quality and performance improvement goals and confidentiality of information.
• Follow established procedures for therapeutic boundaries.
