Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis Critical Care Medicine Fellowship is seeking a Transporter to move patients and equipment within the Medical Center. You will transport patients and equipment, train new co-workers on the transport process, and ensure safety with proper body mechanics.

The role uses Epic software to track patient and equipment movement and to locate patients throughout the facility. The position requires at least one year of transporting experience and two years of customer service, BLS

Qualifications

• One year transporting experience
• Two years customer service experience
• BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) program
• Physical ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis

Responsibilities

• Transports patients and equipment to and from various departments.
• Trains new co-workers on all aspects of the Transport process.
• Ensures patients are transported safely with proper body mechanics.
• Uses Epic software to track patient location and equipment movement.
