Advocate Health is seeking a full-time transporter to move patients and equipment throughout our facilities. You will ensure patient comfort and safety, follow proper transport procedures, and coordinate with clinical staff to resolve issues.

The role requires reliable shift availability (1st, 2nd, 3rd) and adherence to hospital transport protocols. BLS is required within 6 months. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential.

Competenze

• Excellent Communication Skills.
• Demonstrated experience in customer service.
• Satisfactory completion in safe patient handling within one month of start date.
• Ability to assess status of equipment to ensure it is in safe working condition.
• Ability to assess and determine the best routes within hospital to reach desired destinations.

Mansioni

• Lifts and transports patients to and from wheelchairs, stretchers or beds, properly positioning and securing patient.
• Transports patients to their destinations and may transport other items such as belongings and equipment.
• Communicates with clinical staff about changes in patient condition or equipment issues.
• Verifies patient identification and documents transport details accurately.
• Tracks transport assignments using electronic software and reports delays or cancellations.
• Returns equipment to proper areas and maintains equipment and cleanliness.
• Maintains patient information confidentiality at all times.
• May collect patient equipment from soiled areas.
• May pick up and deliver patient medications (excluding controlled substances).
