Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a Hub Clinical Care Coordinator Assistant (Hub C3A) to provide non-clinical administrative support for the Hub and Care Coordination team. You will ensure timely admission/transfer processes and collaborate with the care team to improve throughput and efficiency.

The role involves handling transfer documentation, coordinating transportation, and supporting Medicare appeals while maintaining professional communication with leadership and partners.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Team-oriented and collaborative.
• Ability to manage time and priorities.
• Preferred: experience with patient registration or case management.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Licenses/certifications as applicable.
• Preferred: Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist (CRCS).

Responsibilities

• Presents a positive departmental image and supports goals, policies, and procedures.
• Processes documentation for patient transfers (photocopies, faxes, and electronic submissions).
• Responds to inquiries from post-acute providers, patients, families; directs to staff.
• Supports the Medicare Appeal Process.
• Monitors Care Coordination task list and coordinates patient transportation as needed.
• Communicates operations updates to leadership and participates in improvement efforts.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
