Job summary

Qualifications

• Monitor compliance with internal policies and procedures related to bed utilization.
• Make recommendations to improve patient flow through critical thinking skills and collaboration with patient care management staff, Patient Flow Coordinators, Night Supervisors and Administration.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and assign patient placement for transfers via Transfer Center.
• Maintain daily census and bed availability reports and communicate to medical staff.
• Attend bed meetings and collaborate with Patient Flow Coordinators and Night Supervisors.
• Communicate information on hospital occupancy and bed availability to management.
• Arrange internal transfers in accordance with physician orders and bed guidelines.
