Job summary

SGMC Health is seeking a Bed Czar to coordinate patient throughput from entry to discharge at the Lanier Campus. You will collaborate with medical staff and the interdisciplinary team to plan, organize, and manage patient movement, monitor bed capacity, and communicate action plans to ensure timely, quality care.

The role requires an active Georgia RN license, a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, and CPR certification. Five years of nursing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current RN license valid in the State of Georgia.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related discipline preferred.
• Current CPR (CPR) certification (BLS or equivalent).
• At least five years of nursing experience.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor bed capacity, staffing beds, and daily bed demand.
• Provide day-to-day bed availability reports to clinical and administrative staff.
• Collaborate with hospital staff, case management, and other facilities to optimize patient flow.
• Assist Admin Coordinators as a clinical resource for patient care providers.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality patient care and compliance with policies.
