Job summary

Ashley Addiction Treatment is seeking a Part-time Patient Support Associate for the Havre de Grace, MD campus. You will support patients, monitor attendance, and assist with campus operations as part of the PCSS team.

The role requires strong people skills, CPR/BLS certification, and a drive to support recovery in a compassionate, multidisciplinary environment. On-site work with a focus on safety and patient well-being is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; associates or bachelor’s degree in Human Services preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Prior experience working in SUD or behavioral health setting strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Takes attendance and tracks patient participation at scheduled activities.
• Familiar with patient schedules for all programs.
• Knows the campus layout, including rooms, offices, and amenities.
• Performs scheduled rounds of the campus.
• Documents patient lateness and absences as required.
• Safely searches new patient luggage using proper protocols and PPE.
• Follows Items to be Held policy and maintains confiscated items accurately.
• Inputs and searches items in Personal Effects Form and labels items properly.
• Provides tours and orientation for new admissions.
• Reviews and answers questions about the Patient Handbook.
• Addresses behavioral issues, documenting concerns in shift reports.
• Communicates psychiatric and behavioral information to care teams.
• Facilitates and documents clinical groups and interventions as needed.
• Assists with AV equipment, documentation, and departmental meetings.
• Participates in Crisis Prevention and clinical training sessions.
• Maintains safety and security procedures and supports in drills.
• Operates golf carts for patient transport and observes radio etiquette.
• Follows SOPs and department policies.
• Participates in interdisciplinary team functions and ongoing education.
