Endeavor Health in Glenview, IL is seeking a Patient Service Representative and Insurance Verifier to support registration, scheduling, and insurance verification in a Rehab setting.

The role includes pre-certifications, referral coordination, and therapy scheduling within rotating day/evening shifts. A high school diploma or GED is required, with 1–2 years in healthcare registration or customer service preferred.

• Researches pre-certification denials and missing documentation.
• Confirms referral requirements and obtains referrals for scheduled services.
• Assists with therapy scheduling and uses EMR task queues to maintain productivity metrics.
• May assist therapists with patient care, inventory, and equipment sanitation.

Hourly Pay Range: $20.29 - $29.42 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

Position: Patient Service Representative and Insurance Verifier - Rehab Tech - Day/Evening Location: Park Center, Glenview, IL Full Time/Part Time: Full time - 40 hours Hours: Rotating shifts; clinic is open Mon.- Fri. 7a-7p. Will rotate into varied start and end times: 7am-3:30pm, 10:30am-7pm, 9am-5:30pm; will rotate at least 2 evenings until 7pm Required Travel: no

What you will do:

Reviews and analyzes required patient demographics and consults representatives, providers, and insurance carriers to verify benefits, determine eligibility, obtain pre-certifications, and support timely reimbursement.

Performs pre-certification notification via telephone or electronically and completes required documentation for submission to insurance carriers per payer requirements.

Researches pre-certification denials including missing authorization, patient pre-certification or referral documentation.

Confirms referral requirements for individual plans and works with referring physician offices when needed to obtain referrals for scheduled services, including referrals for additional office visits.

Assists with therapy scheduling.

Utilizes the electronic medical record task-based work queue to maintain established productivity metrics determined by the Rehab Services department to meet business needs.

May assist therapists with patient care, inventory of linens, supplies and equipment disinfecting.

What you will need:

Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in business or healthcare preferred.

Experience: 1–2 years of healthcare registration, scheduling, or customer service experience preferred.

Knowledge & Skills: Knowledge of health insurance, medical terminology, and anatomy preferred.

Strong data entry, keyboarding, and Microsoft Office skills preferred.

Observation or volunteer in a rehab clinical setting preferred.

Other: Valid driver’s license and appropriate auto insurance required if performing duties at an off-site location.
