Endeavor Health is recruiting for a Patient Service Representative and Insurance Verifier – Rehab Tech. The role is based in Park Center, Glenview, IL, and involves full-time rotating shifts with early evenings as needed.

Responsibilities include verifying benefits, obtaining pre-certifications, scheduling therapy, and supporting referrals while maintaining productivity in the EMR system. Requires healthcare registration experience and knowledge of insurance and medical terminology.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in business or healthcare preferred.
• Experience: 1-2 years of healthcare registration, scheduling, or customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge & Skills: Knowledge of health insurance, medical terminology, and anatomy preferred.
• Strong data entry, keyboarding, and Microsoft Office skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and analyzes required patient demographics and consults representatives, providers, and insurance carriers to verify benefits, determine eligibility, obtain pre-certifications, and support timely reimbursement.
• Performs pre-certification notification via telephone or electronically and completes required documentation for submission to insurance carriers per payer requirements.
• Researches pre-certification denials including missing authorization, patient pre-certification or referral documentation.
• Confirms referral requirements for individual plans and works with referring physician offices when needed to obtain referrals for scheduled services, including referrals for additional office visits.
• Assists with therapy scheduling
• Utilizes the electronic medical record task-based work queue to maintain established productivity metrics determined by the Rehab Services department to meet business needs.
• May assist therapists with patient care, inventory of linens, supplies and equipment disinfecting.

Hourly Pay Range:

$20.29 - $29.42 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Patient Service Representative and Insurance Verifier - Rehab Tech - Day/Evening
• Location: Park Center, Glenview, IL
• Full Time/Part Time: Full time - 40 hours
• Hours: Rotating shifts; clinic is open Mon.- Fri. 7a-7p. Will rotate into varied start and end times: 7am-3:30pm, 10:30am-7pm, 9am-5:30pm; will rotate at least 2 evenings until 7pm
• Required Travel: no

What you will need:

• Other: Valid driver's license and appropriate auto insurance required if performing duties at an off-site location.
