Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Patient Service Representative and Insurance Verifier - Rehab Tech for Day/Evening shifts at Park Center, Glenview, IL. You will verify benefits, schedule, and coordinate with insurance carriers to support timely reimbursement.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1–2 years healthcare registration experience, and knowledge of health insurance and medical terminology. Local travel is not required; rotating shifts include mornings and evenings with two

• Knowledge of health insurance, medical terminology, and anatomy is preferred.
• Strong data entry, keyboarding, and Microsoft Office skills are preferred.
• Observation or volunteer experience in a rehab clinical setting is appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and analyzes patient demographics and consults with representatives, providers, and insurance carriers to verify benefits and determine eligibility for pre-certifications.
• Performs pre-certification notification via telephone or electronic submission and completes required documentation for submission to insurance carriers per payer requirements.
• Researches pre-certification denials including missing authorizations or referrals.
• Confirms referral requirements for individual plans and coordinates referrals with referring physicians' offices.
• Assists with therapy scheduling.
• Uses the EMR task-based work queue to maintain productivity metrics for Rehab Services.
• May assist therapists with patient care, inventory of linens, supplies, and equipment disinfection.

Hourly Pay Range:

$20.29 - $29.42 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Patient Service Representative and Insurance Verifier - Rehab Tech - Day/Evening
• Location: Park Center, Glenview, IL
• Full Time/Part Time: Full time - 40 hours
• Hours: Rotating shifts; clinic is open Mon.- Fri. 7a-7p.
  • Will rotate into varied start and end times: 7am-3:30pm, 10:30am-7pm, 9am-5:30pm; will rotate at least 2 evenings until 7pm
• Required Travel: no

What you will do:

• Confirms referral requirements for individual plans and works with referring physician offices when needed to obtain referrals for scheduled services, including referrals for additional office visits.
• Assists with therapy scheduling
• Utilizes the electronic medical record task-based work queue to maintain established productivity metrics determined by the Rehab Services department to meet business needs.
• May assist therapists with patient care, inventory of linens, supplies and equipment disinfecting.

What you will need:

• Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in business or healthcare preferred.
• Experience: 1-2 years of healthcare registration, scheduling, or customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge & Skills: Knowledge of health insurance, medical terminology, and anatomy preferred. Strong data entry, keyboarding, and Microsoft Office skills preferred.
• Observation or volunteer in a rehab clinical setting preferred.
• Other: Valid driver's license and appropriate auto insurance required if performing duties at an off-site location.
