Job summary

Millennium Health in Portland, Oregon is seeking a Full-Time Male Specimen Collector to join our laboratory team. You will collect patient urine and oral fluid samples, document orders, and serve as an intermediary between clinics and the lab to ensure accurate processing and timely results.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 6+ months of specimen collection or 1+ year in a medical setting, a valid driver's license, and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of specimen collector experience or 1+ year in medical field preferred.
• 2+ years of customer service experience can substitute for medical experience.
• Ability to navigate a smartphone and computer.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to ensure HIPAA, HiTrust, confidentiality and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid specimens.
• Process and package collections for shipping.
• Serve as intermediary between the practice / clinic and the laboratory.
• Record patient information, physician order details, and pertinent laboratory information.
• Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information in ordering portal.
• Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite.
• Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens (when applicable).
• Driving from/to multiple facilities may be required.
