Job summary

Millennium Health is seeking a Full Time Specimen Collector in Seaside, OR to collect urine and saliva samples, process shipments, and liaise between clinics and our lab. This role emphasizes accuracy, patient-centered service, and adherence to privacy and security rules.

Ideal candidates have 6+ months of specimen collection or 1+ year in medical support, strong phone/computer skills, and a valid driver’s license. Training includes background checks and adherence to all regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in customer service can substitute for medical experience
• Must navigate a smartphone and computer
• HIPAA/HiTrust/compliance awareness required
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Physical requirements: sit 60%, walk 20%, stand 20%, lift up to 20 lb

Responsibilities

• Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid specimens
• Process and package collections for shipping
• Serve as intermediary between practice/clinic and laboratory
• Record patient information and physician order details
• Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information
• Maintain collection supplies inventory onsite
• Observe and ensure proper specimen collection procedures
• Travel between facilities as needed
