Job summary

Millennium Health is seeking a part-time Specimen Collector in Boardman, Oregon. You will collect urine and saliva specimens, process and package them for shipping, and serve as the liaison between clinics and the laboratory.

Ideal candidates have 6+ months in specimen collection or 1+ year in healthcare, plus 2+ years of customer service. A valid license, smartphone/computer skills, and ability to lift up to 20 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of specimen collector experience or 1+ year in medical field supporting patients preferred
• 2+ years of customer service experience can be considered in place of medical experience
• Demonstrated ability to navigate a smart phone and computer required
• Valid driver’s license required; reliable transportation
• HIPAA, HiTrust, Confidentiality and Compliance policy adherence required
• Administrative, physical and technical cybersecurity controls must be observed
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Physical requirements: sitting 60%, walking 20%, standing 20%, lifting up to 20 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid specimens
• Process and package collections for shipping
• Serve as intermediary between practice/clinic and laboratory
• Record patient information, physician order details, and laboratory information
• Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information in ordering portal
• Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite
• Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens
• Driving from/to multiple facilities may be required
