Job summary

Millennium Health in Portland, OR is seeking a Part-Time Male Specimen Collector to provide compassionate patient interaction, collect urine and oral fluid specimens, and coordinate with the lab.

The role requires attention to HIPAA and security, a valid driver’s license, and comfortable use of a smartphone and computer; schedule includes Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9:00am–2:00pm and Tuesday 10:00am–1:00pm, totaling 18 hours per week.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience as a specimen collector or 1+ year in a medical setting
• 2+ years of customer service experience can substitute medical experience
• Ability to navigate a smartphone and computer required

Responsibilities

• Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid specimens
• Process and package collections for shipping
• Serve as intermediary between practice/clinic and laboratory
• Record patient information and pertinent lab details
• Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information
• Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite
• Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens as applicable
• Driving between facilities may be required
